Level 1
Discoverable
An agent can locate and identify your business and its offerings.
At Level 1 your site declares — in machine-readable terms — that it exists, who runs it, what you do, and which AI agents you welcome. Most of this is small, one-time work on files that already have a home on every site: robots.txt, a sitemap, Schema.org markup, and an llms.txt overview. No new infrastructure, no new logins — but done deliberately rather than by accident.
This is the level where most businesses get the fastest return, because it's what determines whether ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity describe you accurately or guess.
This level’s lessons are part of the course.

Core structured data on the homepage — organization, identity, and what you offer.

A real /llms.txt overview (not a stub) that orients an agent to your most important content.

Standardized /.well-known/ discovery and a Web Bot Auth public-key directory.
-
